Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM)

  • Tourism and travel knowledge
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the dynamic nature of the tourism and travel industry, its defining characteristics and the structure, operation and organisation of the private and public sectors
  • Understand the central role played by the tourist consumers, especially with regard to demand patterns and characteristics and tourist behaviour
  • Identify and understand the economic, social, technical, political, ethical and physical environmental influences within the tourism and travel business environment
  • Understand the complexities of the concept of tourism and travel sustainability and its management.

Bachelor of Leisure & Hospitality Management (BLHM)

  • Be able to apply a number of techniques for evaluating economic, environmental and social impacts of leisure and hospitality
  • Be able to apply interdisciplinary theories constructively to the analysis of leisure and hospitality empirical data.
  • Be able to collect, synthesize, evaluate and analyse data from various sources.
  • Integrate concepts and analysis of leisure and hospitality. Achieve technical competence in the application of a range of advanced quantitative and qualitative techniques.
